She is highly skilled in a variety of treatment types, thus allowing her to tailor a unique approach to each patient’s specific needs. Her treatments may include: Diversified TechniqueThe Diversified technique involves your chiropractor manually (with hands) placing pressure through the affected vertebral segment (spinal section) in order to restore proper movement. This technique is a safe and effective way of relieving stiffness and pain., Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT)The Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT) is a specialised, comprehensive, gentle and innovative technique of Chiropractic, it is so named because of the relationship between the sacrum (base of the spine) and the occiput (base of the skull)., Thompson TechniqueThe Thompson Technique, also known as Thompson Terminal Point Technique or Thompson Drop-Table Technique, is a full-spine adjusting technique that emphasizes high-velocity (Quick), low amplitude (shallow), and some low-force procedures, using a drop table and biomechanical wedges. It is a chiropractic technique which uses a precision adjusting table along with a weighing mechanism which gives sufficient tension to keep the patient in the “up” position before the thrust or pressure is applied through the joint., Active Release Technique (ART)Active release technique (ART) treats your body’s soft tissue by combining manipulation and movement. The technique has been around for more than 30 years. ART entails identifying, isolating, and targeting the affected area to break up scar tissue. This promotes blood flow and faster healing of injuries. ART can be used to treat problems with your muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves., Dry NeedlingDry needling, also known as myofascial trigger point dry needling or Intermuscular stimulation, is a Western Medicine practice used by GP’s, Myotherapists, Physiotherapists and Remedial Massage Therapists it is not Acupuncture which is Eastern Medicine and performed by Chinese medicine doctors., Soft Tissue therapies and rehabilitative exercise therapy. Dr Lillie specialises in gentle low force manual (with hands) and activatorThe Activator hand held Instrument or The Activator Method® : uses gentle impulses to nudge the subluxations (misaligned vertebra) to its correct place within the spine, releasing pressure from spinal nerves and eliminating the strain from spinal muscles. It is one of the most widely researched chiropractic techniques and the only instrument adjusting technique with clinical trials to support its efficacy. adjustments, which are very effective in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal and nerve entrapment issues and injuries.
